There were heartbreaking scenes on the Bruxner Highway this afternoon, after a four-year-old girl was killed in a two car crash near Casino.
The 18-year-old female driver was airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
A two-year-old girl was transported to Lady Cilento Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition, while an eight-year-old girl escaped with minor injuries.
The elderly male driver, and sole occupant of the second vehicle, was not injured.
Police are investigating.
