Primary producers who’ve been doing it tough since last year’s severe storms can now access natural disaster assistance from the state government.
More than 100 properties were damaged during November’s wild weather, which also wiped out parts of the Far North Coast macadamia and banana crops.
Low-interest loans up to $130,000 are now available to help farmers repair damaged structures and replace the affected crops.
