Target stores in Goonellabah, Casino and Murwillumbah are among the 167 stores set to close across Australia by mid next year.
The company’s owner, Wesfarmers, announcing more than 1000 jobs will be lost in the restructure – which will leave some regional areas without a department store.
The Target store in Ocean Shores will be converted into a Kmart early next year.
