A motorcycle rider has been killed when his bike left the road and crashed into a tree at McLeans Ridges.
The 20-year-old Lismore man had been travelling south along Cowlong Road when he missed a corner.
Investigators believe the accident happened around 8pm last night, but it wasn’t until 10 this morning that police were alerted, after a passing motorist spotted the wreckage.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.

I am not suprised, it is a shocking section of road. It is on the boundary of Ballina and Lismore Councils with neither of them wanting to take responsibility for its maintenance. This is the second fatality on this stretch of road in less than two years.
