Police are appealing for information, after two young children were approached in Lismore earlier this week.
The young boy and girl, aged nine and four respectively, were playing outside on Keen Street on Monday afternoon, when a car slowed next to them.
The driver then offered the children a packet of lollies, however, they ran away and immediately told their mother.
Police are hoping to speak with a man described as being of olive complexion, in his 30s, and with a towel or similar item wrapped around his head covering his hair.
The car has been described as red, with a spoiler on the rear with yellow number plates.
