Two men are recovering in hospital after a single vehicle accident on the Pacific Highway at Newrybar yesterday afternoon.
It’s thought the duo’s car struck a guardrail at high speed at around 4PM.
Both freed themselves from the wreckage and were stabilised at the scene.
One was flown to Lismore Base Hospital in a critical condition – the other was taken there by road in a stable condition.
Both southbound lanes were closed for several hours.
