DAUGHTER OF MURDERED NURSING HOME RESIDENT CALLS FOR MANDATORY CCTV

The daughter of a resident, murdered in a Ballina nursing home has launched an online petition, calling for mandatory CCTV cameras in all aged care facilities.
Charli Maree Darragh has vowed to use the death of her mother Marie Darragh and fellow nursing home resident Isabella Spencer as motivation to prevent a similar tragedy from ever occurring.
“I’m going to spend the rest of my life fighting for victory for my mum because I know that’s what my mum would have wanted”
Megan Haines was found guilty in Sydney Supreme Court of delivering fatal doses of insulin to the two elderly nursing home patients at St Andrews two years ago.
She will be sentenced next month.
