Nine-months after Coraki’s only fire truck was taken for a joyride, police have charged a second person.
19-year-old Rex James was arrested in Casino this morning.
Police allege forensic evidence links him to the pumper heist.
“It was a huge risk, to the community of Coraki, to be left without their only fire appliance.”
“Police take a very dim view on what happened on that day.”
James was also charged with several domestic violence offences.
He faced Lismore Local Court this afternoon, where he was refused bail and his matter was adjourned to next Tuesday.
