A fire in Broken Head which has been burning for almost a week is continuing to be controlled.
The blaze had Byron Bay Road residents on alert, after it jumped containment lines overnight.
Fortunately, crews both on the ground and in the air, are gaining the upper hand.
More than 450 hectares of land has been scorched and an investigation is underway into the cause.
