The 10 -17 year gap in life expectancy between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians, was at the heart of Southern Cross University’s Close the Gap Day events today.
The aim, to raise awareness about the disadvantages in schooling, health, and finance faced by many indigenous Australians.
“When it comes to closing the gap within the whole of this country, we have a lot of social and emotional issues we need to address to be able to move forward that impacts on our physical and mental health”
