MAN ARRESTED IN RELATION TO ALLEGED BANORA POINT BREAK-IN
Police have arrested a man believed to be involved in an aggravated break-in on the Far North Coast over the weekend.
Police say a man and a woman allegedly broke into a home on Firestone Drive in Banora Point at around 3:30am on Sunday, where they threatened a male occupant with a knife before assaulting him and tying him up.
The 41-year-old male was able to escape, and when police arrived and searched the home, they found the woman inside, but the male intruder fled.
She was charged with aggravated break and enter, detaining a person, and goods in custody.
Then just before nine this morning, a 38-year-old man was arrested in Beenleigh, Queensland.
Police anticipate he’ll be charged with several offences.
