POLICE DISCOVER NADEN’S CAMPSITES

Two campsites, believed to be used by Malcolm Naden have been uncovered by police in dense bushland in the Gloucester Tops.
Officers seized a .22 calibre firearm, along with clothing, bedding and food items.
Police believe Naden was using the sites before being arrested at a nearby property last month.
Naden has been charged with the murder of Kristy Scholes in Dubbo in 2005, and the alleged shooting of a police officer near Nowendoc.
He’s also been assisting police in their investigation into the disappearance of Lateesha Nolan but a search of a riverbank near Dubbo for the missing woman’s remains has so far been unsuccessful.
Strike Force Durkin police are set to vacate the command post in Gloucester over the weekend.
