SEVERE STORMS BATTER NORTHERN NEW SOUTH WALES
Parts of the Northern Rivers wore the full force of mother nature last night, with the region battered by severe storms.
Josi de Graaf shared this video of the hail at Lawrence on the Clarence River, while further north, the coastal village of Pottsville recorded 112 millimetres in the 24 hours to 9am this morning.
Other notable totals included 97 millimetres at Ballina, 98 millimetres at Houghlahans Creek north of Alstonville, and more than 50 millimetres at Byron Bay.
The SES responded to more than 70 jobs including 16 in Lismore, with the majority related to fallen trees and leaking roofs.
