GREEN THUMBS DON GLOVES FOR NATIONAL TREE DAY

Volunteers got their hands dirty today, sprucing up the Wilsons Riverbank near Lismore’s CBD for National Tree Day.
Over 100 adults and kids donned the gloves and put 1000 new plants into the ground.
“We’re removing what is a Camphor Laurel privot multiculture of two or three species, we’re removing those and planting it with nearly 200 species”
The tradition is now in its 18th year, and organisers plan to continue until the bank is restored to its former glory.
