$600,000 WORTH OF CANNABIS FOUND IN CAR BOOT
Seventy kilograms of cannabis with an estimated street value of $600,000 has been seized from the boot of a car on the state’s Far North Coast.
Police stopped a Holden Commodore on the Pacific Highway near Pottsville at around 3pm on Friday afternoon, where the prohibited drug was found in four sports bags.
The vehicle had come to the attention of officers after it was seen erratically speeding up and slowing down while travelling north.
The 27-year-old driver from Mount Tamborine was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
