Tamworth Police say they’re disappointed with the first day of Operation Drink Drive 1, with six motorists caught over the limit.
While it’s no worse than the same time last year, officers are frustrated that drivers aren’t listening to the warnings.
“We’re still detecting people that have been drinking and are driving the next day and are being detected in the middle of the day. So it’s just one of those things that people could be unaware or something that they’re deliberately just not worrying about.”
The Operation will continue until midnight on Sunday.
