A Coffs Harbour man has been charged with a string of weapons related offences, after seven replica guns were seized from a car on the state’s far north coast.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Tweed Heads just before 2 o’clock on Sunday morning, with a search of the car uncovering the replica weapons.
A 31-year-old passenger admitted ownership of the fake guns, and told police they’d been purchased as a Christmas gift for his son.
A small amount of Cannabis was also located within the vehicle.
The man’s expected in court later today.
