MULTIPLE SHARK SIGHTINGS CLOSE FAR NORTH COAST BEACHES

Thousands have tried to beat the heat by heading to popular beaches on the Far North Coast.

But a day of fun in the sun has been threatened by numerous shark sightings, including one in the shallows at Main Beach on Boxing Day.
