MORE PATIENTS PRESENTING TO ED

More and more people are presenting to Northern Rivers emergency departments, according to new data.

Lismore Base Hospital saw a 12% increase in ED presentations.

While Maclean and Murwillumbah District Hospitals recorded an increase above 5% over the last quarter.

The Local Health District praised staff for doing an excellent job in caring for the extra patients, but it’s reminding residents to only visit the ED in an emergency.
