FIRST SOD TURNED ON LISMORE’S NEW $8.2 MILLION DOLLAR FLOODPLAIN

The first sod has been turned on Lismore’s new multi-million floodplain.

More than 400-thousand cubic metres of soil will be removed, to help reduce the risk of flooding.

The plain will re-direct free flowing water from Leycester creek to the river system below the city.

The $8.2-million dollar project is expected to be complete by November 20-20.
