After a six month search, the Northern New South Wales local health district has appointed a new CEO.
Acting CEO Wayne Jones was appointed to the position this morning.
Having previously held clinical care and senior management roles, Mr Jones says he’s looking forward to working closely with staff.
“I’m very approachable. I’m happy to talk to staff at any opportunity, and I think they’ll take advantage of that.”
“He’s acknowledged through the system as a safe pair of hands, a pair of hands that can do the job but more importantly, a person that listens hard.”
Jones replaces Chris Crawford, who retired last year.
