MAN CHARGED WITH FIRING A SHOT DURING A DOMESTIC INCIDENT

A man’s been charged with pulling out a pistol and firing a shot during an argument at Port Stephens.
Yesterday, a 40-year-old man was speaking with his ex-partner, a 38-year-old woman, at a home on Bombora Close at Fingal Bay.
The argument escalated and it’s alleged he produced the weapon and fired a shot inside the home, which penetrated through a fly screen and a neighbour’s garage.
The bullet became lodged in an external brick wall at a home on Shoreline Drive.
Officers later arrested the man at a Salamander Bay shopping centre.
He’s been refused bail.
