LISMORE MAN CHARGED WITH 13 DIFFERENT OFFENCES
A man will face court today charged with more than 13 different sexual and driving offences in the state’s north.
Officers from Richmond Police District commenced an investigation to locate a 25-year-old man wanted over a sexual assault, allegedly taking place in a correctional facility mid last year.
Police also allege the man was involved in a police pursuit along Ballina Road towards Goonellabah earlier this month.
When his vehicle stopped, the man allegedly ran from the scene and evaded arrest.
Following inquiries, he was finally arrested at a home in Campbell Crescent at Goonellabah on Friday afternoon.
Taken to Lismore Police Station, he was charged with the outstanding warrants and 13 other offences.

• Motor bike rider (alone) not wear/secure fit approved helmet
• Shoplifting
• Resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty
• Police pursuit
• Aggravated sexual assault
