Emergency services are urging drivers to stay cautious on the state’s roads, with several inundated by floodwater.
Traffic is affected or closed in the following areas:
The Pacific Highway near Duncans Road at South Grafton
Armidale Road at Hortons Creek, just south of Grafton. Drivers are advised to avoid the area altogether, as flooding has washed away a bridge.
Failford Road at Failford. All vehicles are being diverted to The Lakes Way.
Manilla Road and the Oxley Highway near Tamworth. The road is affected in both directions.
