Lismore Base Hospital and The Tweed Hospital have now setup dedicated fever clinics for people at risk of COVID-19, who are presenting with fever or respiratory symptoms.
Chief Executive of the Northern NSW Local Health District, Wayne Jones, says he can’t confirm the number of people who have accessed the clinics so far.
“The numbers are growing on a day to day basis as community awareness gets out there and concern gets out there, and as we’re seeing the case numbers across the country are increasing,” Jones said.
The clinics are open from 10am to 6pm, seven days a week.
