A man has been airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition after a head-on collision at Mullumbimby this morning.
Emergency services including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded to the incident on Gulgan Road at 9am.
The 65-year-old was trapped in his vehicle for 30 minutes.
The other driver was treated by paramedics for non life-threatening injuries.
