The Pat Morton and Lighthouse beach carparks will be closed from this evening, with police concerned they’re attracting visitors from outside the Ballina Shire.
Officers from the Richmond Police District have handed out more than $27,000 in fines for breaches of the Public Health Act.
Council is reminding the community that only locals can access beaches and pathways.
