Level 1 water restrictions will no longer apply in Gunnedah from May 1.
It comes as recent rain has has improved bore water by 50 per cent.
The town will move to level P restrictions where residents can water their garden before 8am and after 6pm.
While washing cars and hard surfaces can be done with a high pressure hose.
