For the first time since its inception 135 years ago, the Lismore show, set to be held in October, has been cancelled.
Already in danger of shutting their gates, the Lismore Showground now rely on speedway, the tropical fruits festival and New Years events to go ahead.
North Coast National will meet again in the coming weeks to discuss the financial longevity of the grounds.
