WATER MINING FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES BANNED IN BALLINA

The Alstonville aquifers have been saved after Ballina Shire Council voted to ban water extraction for commercial purposes.

The Deputy Mayor says it’s a step forward in guaranteeing long term water security for residents.
