The North Coast Public Health Unit has issued an air pollution alert with strong winds moving dust, as well as smoke from hazard reduction burns, into some parts of the region.
Children, older adults and people with heart and lung conditions are most at risk to the effects of air pollution.
Health is advising against vigorous exercise over the coming days.
