NSW GOVERNMENT CREATES NEW NORTHERN BORDERS RECOVERY COMMITTEE
The New South Wales government has established a new committee to try and help its residents on the border more easily access Queensland.
The Northern Borders Recovery Committee, chaired by Tweed MP Geoff Provest, will examine the economic and social impacts of the border closure.
“A lot of work’s been done but the difference is, on the Victorian – New South Wales border, we had great control because it was our restrictions, but on the other side of the border, Queesland aren’t listening,” NSW Deputy Premier, John Barilaro, said.
The New South Wales Government says it’s developing a plan to address the problem.
