Women over 50 are being encouraged to go for a mammogram this month, with a BreastScreen van visiting several Northern Rivers communities.
The van will be located behind the new HealthOne building on Woodburn Street in Evans Head from September 9 to 24, then at Coraki Campbell HealthOne on Surry Street in Coraki on the 28th and 29th.
The service is free for women aged between 50 and 74, with no referral needed.
