All fire permits across the Far North Coast will be suspended from midnight tonight for 24 hours, with a very high fire danger rating issued for the region.
Hot and windy conditions are anticipated for most of Sunday.
The Bureau of Meteorology expects the region to return to a low-moderate fire danger rating on Monday.
