RIBBON CUT ON THE UPGRADED PACIFIC HIGHWAY PROJECT

After decades of work and billions of dollars, the ribbon has been cut on the Pacific Highway upgrade between Hexham and the Queensland border.
This morning, State and Federal politicians were on-hand for a community event at New Italy, which was one of the last sections of the highway to be completed between Woolgoolga and Ballina.
“I can’t think of a more important infrastructure project in the last thirty years that has probably had more impact on peoples’ lives than this one – particularly in this part of the country,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.
