HEALTH OFFICIALS GREET PASSENGERS FROM SYDNEY AT BALLINA’S AIRPORT

In response to the COVID outbreak in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the Northern New South Wales Local Health District has announced a tightening of hospital visitor restrictions.

From today, visiting hours and numbers are being reduced to one visitor for one hour, between 1pm-6pm.

Meanwhile, passengers landing at Ballina’s Airport will be greeted by health officials.

“We now have New South Wales Health officials in the terminal – they are assessing and screening passengers that are arriving on flights from Sydney,” Ballina Byron Gateway Airport Manager, Julie Stewart, said.

There are 10 flights from the harbour city scheduled to land at the airport tomorrow.
