Confirmation the Northern Rivers has missed out on a vaccination hub has outraged local politicians, who are now demanding one be set-up at the Tweed or at Lismore Base Hospital.
Federal Member for Richmond, Justine Elliot, says she’s been inundated with calls from residents, concerned they’ll miss out on getting the jab.
“What about our community? We’ve got a large proportion of seniors in our area – many vulnerable people – and what about our frontline workers, our health care workers and our police?” Ms Elliot said.
