EASTERN BROWN SNAKE GOES FOR A SWIM AT POPULAR CASINO POOL

There was a surprise for swimmers at the Casino Memorial Pool earlier this week, when an eastern brown snake was spotted slithering in the water.

Council ranger Paul Cowles came to the rescue, removing the juvenile reptile from the pool and releasing it into nearby bushland.

Fortunately, there have been no more sightings of snakes since.
