PLANS FOR BREWERY IN SOUTH LISMORE TO BE DEBATED BY COUNCIL TONIGHT
Plans for a brewery in South Lismore will be debated at an extraordinary council meeting tonight, with three councillors set to put forward a rescission motion to reverse its approval.
Mayor Vanessa Ekins and Councillor Darlene Cook met with Engine Street residents today, to hear their concerns.
“We are homeowners and residents and have legitimate concerns… 9 out of 12 houses on the street are against it,” Engine Street resident, Tristan Inglis, said.
“At the moment I’m still listening to all the information, I’m still assessing all the information, there are a number of questions I wish to ask staff tonight before I make a final decision,” Lismore City Councillor, Darlene Cook, said.
Councillor Casson, Guise and Lloyd will argue there are issues with the proposed site of the ‘Two Mates’ brewery.
