Finding a rental in the Northern Rivers has become even more challenging, with price hikes overtaking the rate of growth in Sydney.
New data shows rental costs for suburbs like Byron Bay have increased by over 30 per cent.
In the last 12 months, weekly rents in Byron climbed to more than $1,100 for houses – and surpassed $800 for units.
