A 48-year-old man has died after being stabbed at Cessnock this morning.
Police were called to a home on Edgeworth Street at around 1am, where they found the man with a number of wounds.
Officers started CPR, but he died at the scene.
Police say a short time later, a car lost control and rolled into the crime scene they’d established.
They found a 50-year-old man with multiple wounds.
He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Police believe the two incidents are linked.
