CHARGES LAID OVER FATAL BALLINA CRASH

A man has been charged over a fatal crash on the Far North Coast, earlier this year.

Emergency services were called to the Bruxner Highway, at Uralba, on January 8 – finding a van and ute, had collided.

The driver of the ute – a 61-year-old man – died at the scene.

A 27-year-old man has now been charged with dangerous – and negligent – driving, occasioning death.

He’s been granted bail to front Ballina Local Court next month.
