LUCKY ESCAPE AFTER CAR BECOMES SUBMERGED

A driver has had a lucky escape on the Far North Coast, after their car became submerged in a creek at Chinderah early this morning.

When paramedics arrived, they found the driver trapped in his car, which was upside down in water, near the Pacific Highway.

The man in his 30s was taken to Tweed Hospital, but thankfully had no serious injuries.

New South Wakes Ambulance says the incident shows the importance of geolocation services like the Emergency Plus app.
