Lismore’s Oakes Oval could be in line for a makeover.
At last night’s meeting, council voted to look at the feasibility of extending the field, enabling it to accommodate large-scale sporting events.
“That means looking at the costs of it and weighing up the benefits and what events might be attracted.”
The AFL has expressed an interest in using the oval for pre-season games, but council says to push ahead it would need a firm commitment.
