  1. Tell em they are dreaming. Unconventional gas is a nett energy loser. Costs more money to get it out of the ground and to the point of use than it’s values at sale. It’s a pointless exercise that requires massive environmental damage for no nett financial gain. It’s criminal that the NSW Government is even considering forcing residents to use CSG as a power source. Pensioners and families cannot afford to pay for this expensive form of power. The Energy Return on energy invested (EROEI) of fracked gas is worse that solar. So the financial argument does not support the development of this industry and it is a smaller employer than MacDonalds. Again…tell these Sydney-side investors they’re dreaming. Don’t need it – don’t want it.

  2. Mr Francis is clearly out of touch with not only the fact that the majority of Northern Rivers residents will not stand for this filthy, scandalous, devastating scam to be railroaded over the top of them by some speculative opportunist, but also the fact that he is looking to develop a fragile, biodiversity rich area. This area is laden with wetlands and vulnerable flora and fauna showing that Mr Francis has either a/ not done his homework or b/ he couldn’t care less about our region – keen to exploit and destroy it in order for a fiscal reward to himself.

    No thanks.
