After losing his father to lung cancer, and his wife to breast cancer, Harald Ulriksen knew he had to turn his life around.
“I was 40 kilos over weight when she died so I’ve made it a mission for myself to get healthy and stay healthy and running is part of that.”
The 43 year old is now running from Sydney to Brisbane, to raise money for the Cancer Council.
“Coming through Lismore and Ballina is a bit of an emotional journey as well because my dad who passed away from cancer lived here so there’s some memories for me here and that’s one of the reasons I’m passing through this area.”
