PAID PARKING BEGINS IN BYRON BAY

Meters at several locations around the Byron CBD were switched on today, as the rollout of paid parking continues.
It will now cost between three and $6, to park in one and two-hour locations.
Drivers will also have to carry spare change for the time being, with the machines not yet able to accept notes or credit cards.
Council says the money raised will be used to improve Byron’s roads, footpaths and parks.
Stage two will be rolled-out in the new year.
