Cancer campaigner Jodie McRae has been named the New South Wales Regional Woman of the Year.
The Lismore mum was presented with the award by Premier Mike Baird and Minister for Women Pru Goward, during a reception at state parliament.
Ms McRae was chosen by popular vote, from a field of four finalists.
Meanwhile, transgender Kyogle student Levi Donnolley received a youth social justice award, during International Womens Day celebrations on the Gold Coast.
Levi was recognised for raising funds to build a unisex toilet at Kyogle High.
