CRUISE SHIP PASSENGER SUFFERING CARDIAC ARREST AIRLIFTED
A man in his 50’s has been airlifted from an ocean liner off the far north coast.
The Pacific Jewel cruise liner was approximately five nautical miles off Lennox Head, when the Westpac Rescue Helicopter winched a paramedic and doctor on-board to treat a male passenger who was suffering a cardiac arrest.
The patient, believed to be in his 50’s, was stabilised and airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
The patient’s condition has been reported as critical.
