Police are seeking the assistance of the public, after three children were approached by a man in a white van at South Grafton.
The incident happened at around 3:20 on Friday afternoon on Armidale Road, with the man asking the children to get in his van.
The three children, aged 11, 12 and 10 ran away.
The man has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 55 and 60, with grey balding hair, and a goatee.
His van van is described as being white with orange stripes down the sides.
